Sister†Hood Sisters are invited to an afternoon of fellowship & prayer through song. If you love to sing and would like to build or expand your faith-based repertoire, enjoy warm fellowship and give praise to our God through song, please RSVP below to join our first Praying through Song get together. Faith based songs will led by Joanne Parenteau using Breaking Bread songbooks. Coffee & tea provided.
Joanne is a cradle Catholic who has been involved in music ministry since the age of 10. Joanne has provided music ministry as choir director, organist, cantor and director for several churches in the Ottawa area since moving here from Edmonton in the ’90s. She currently provides weekend music ministry for St. John the Apostle and Holy Spirit church and funeral music for several churches and funeral homes. In the ’90s, Joanne worked as an itinerant music and classroom teacher for the Ottawa Catholic School board and was a founding member of their school board choir. She has taught piano and voice from her home studio for over 25 years and is an ORMTA member. Joanne has been a Sister†Hood member since its inception and hopes to continue to grow with the group in faith and service to the community.
